About Amirah
I began my journey in belly dance back in 2012, coming from a background rooted in ballroom and Latin American dance styles. It wasn't until 2016 that I embarked on formal training with internationally renowned instructors. However, it was in 2020 that I truly embraced the role of a dedicated student under the guidance of these international stars. My training encompassed a wide range of aspects, including dance methodology, music rhythm theory, and musicality.
In 2022, I had the incredible opportunity to represent South Africa in Argentina, where I had the honor of meeting and learning from some of the famous dancers I've long admired. As of now, My studies have covered various dance disciplines, including folkloric styles, modern stylized belly dancing, mejanse, baladi, khaleegi, mushqaqat, shaabi, as well as the teachings of Faridah Fahmy, Mahmoud Reda, and the techniques of Argentinian superstars and masters.
An invitation to Argentina
In September 2022 I flew to Buenos Airies in Argentina to dance at the Winter Winter Festival in Buenos Airies. It was an amazing experience and I was thrilled to meet my favourite dancers and those whom I adore and follow. I study the dance art through the superstars of Argentina. I attended several workshops presented by the superstars such as the queen Saidi herself, Leyla Hassen, Mayra Huzid, Leandro Ferreyra, Cesar Insaurralde, Nur Zahir, Pricilla, Safia, Diaz and Yamil Annum
